Youth Suicide Prevention Comes To StoneCrest Center

The Jason Foundation, Inc. Community Resource Center Opening in Detroit, Michigan

(Detroit, Michigan—7/3/13) The Jason Foundation, Inc. (JFI), a youth suicide prevention and awareness organization, is proud to announce the opening of the newest JFI Community Resource Center at StoneCrest Center in Detroit, Michigan, that took place on July 1st, 2013.

The Michigan Youth Risk Behavioral Survey reported:

• Almost 1 out of 6 young people seriously considered suicide in the past twelve months
• Almost 1 out of 12 young people attempted suicide in the past twelve months

StoneCrest Center located in Detroit, MI is a safe place to turn in your time of need.  Our compassionate staff is committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for patients with severe or life-threatening psychiatric .  JFI Rep, said, “StoneCrest Center is excited about working with the community to decrease suicide rates and increase overall awareness and prevention. The Jason Foundation practices educational practices that support what we facilitate with patients and their families on a daily basis at StoneCrest Center. We believe Everybody is Somebody in Our Community.’

Clark Flatt, President and CEO of JFI said, “I am honored and excited to have opened our Community Resource Center at StoneCrest Center. JFI will work collaboratively with the many outstanding organizations in Michigan that are already addressing this problem.”
